A man abroad
Far far from home
Missing those he once loved
When will he think
To come again
Back to those that he still thinks of
Does sunshine reach into the heart
Does it brighten those dark corners
Does Scotland’s mist not call him home
Make him long to be among us
The cold rain drops can warm a heart
The sun can leave one all a-shiver
If that rain is where a heart still lies
Then the sun will warm it never
We don’t often read melancholy from you, this is rather lovely. 🙂

So true. Home is still where the heart is, even if there’s a bit more vitamin D on offer elsewhere 🙂
