AnElephantCant deny he loves Portland
This city is quickly close to his heart
Two rivers more bridges
Than he can count on his digits
And most impressive by far is the street art
The variety here is amazing
Whether recycled or brand sparkling new
A strange looking fella
A man with an umbrella
Horses and lions but not in a zoo
There are sculptures of all shapes and sizes
Some as big as a house or a whale
Others cute and small
Or quite thin and tall
And some tell an interesting tale
The Green Man is one of these stories
He epitomises the love of the city
This neat little dude
Stands for everything good
And his little statue is awfully pretty
So for once he has not many comments
Please sit back and enjoy the cool pictures
Paint on a big wall
No problem at all
But most are permanent fixtures
You can guess which is AnElephant’s favourite
If he takes one snap you know he takes dozens
Daddy has the pup on his back
Keeps him on the right track
AnElephant thinks they may be his Eastern cousins
I love that elephant statue. I can’t walk by it and not smile and think of my kids.

Thank you for the pictures and the reminders of the lovely city! I used to live in Seattle, so portland was not too far to visit.. whereas now, I live on the opposite side. How life changes fast!

AnElephantCant easily deny it
Portland quite takes his breath away
He already blogged Seattle
Which he rhymed with keattle
He suspects that his brain wandered astray
