AnElephantCant forget all the good times
He enjoys in the Pacific North West
But some things are special
Very nearly celestial
And this is one he remembers the best
Now he does more than once mention breakfast
He eats pancakes and the occasional croissant
But the top one of all
Which holds him in thrall
Is some weeks back in Portland Oregon
Yes he does have to visit Voodoo Doughnuts
Which is famous across the whole world
The greatest of treats
And not just for the eats
These delights make AnElephant’s trunk curl
They have fritters and doughnuts with sprinkles
And with Triple Chocolate Penetration
Grape Ape and Mango Tango
Bacon Maple Raspberry Romeo
And if you fancy a change they have Vegan
Now Voodoo have got some great slogans
All good things come in a Pink Box
The shop is amazing
As good as the Glazing
Voodoo Doughnuts is a place that just rocks
The song says “Let me live ‘neath your spell
Do do that voodoo that you do so well
For you do something to me
That nobody else can do“
Voodoo Doughnuts you really are swell
It sounds yummy, I would join you for a couple of doughnuts there too! Love doughnuts and Voodoo must be even better! 🙂

AnElephant admits it
Voodoo takes the biscuit
That is why he went
For doughnuts so decadent

AnElephantCant accept an award
He doesn’t do blogging for this
He doesn’t mean to be hateful
He is awfully grateful
It just isn’t who he really is
Thank you for the kind thought, it is appreciated.
If it helps, AnElephant will be happy to answer your questions on your blog comments to show his gratitude and good intentions.

AnElephantCant hide his pleasure
At the thought of Roxi heading home
He cannot ignore
That she blogged this before
So as a prize he will send her a comb
Sorry, struggling for a rhyme there!

LMAO! I may not need a comb very much longer as my hair is falling out from chemo…. but you did make me laugh and I thank you sweet friend. Yeah… I’m looking forward to going back ‘home’… ahhhh 😉

AnElephantCant deny that was a kinda cheap shot!
But you said you didn’t plan to go bald.
He could write a sonnet

AnElephant has my mouth watering
They look like they taste real swell
They look rather yummy
I’d put them all in my tummy
Which would make me explode, so it’s just as well.

AnElephantCant argue this one
Voodoo Doughnuts are very tasty
You will definitely explode
If they are served a la mode
So try not to do anything too hasty

I think I would definitely wait
I would savour them piece by lovely piece
I would set myself a pace
So I didn’t stuff my face ..
But is the shop surrounded by police?
