Which don’t bring a smile to most faces
What can he say
It is simply his way
AnElephant just adores his boot laces

Now you might think that he finds it awkward
Because he obviously does have mammoth foots
Perhaps that is why
There is a gleam in his eye
When he bends down to tie up his boots

When he spends some time in Vancouver
In British Columbia just two months ago
He breaks an old lace
Looks for a cool place
In a big store he gets directed below

They have laces of myriad hues here
But no signs saying Colour Blind Beware
And thousands of lengths
None of which make much sense
So he takes off one boot to compare

He finds laces which might suit his purpose
The lady says please pay over there
So he has to hop
Across this busy shop
The customers all laugh point and stare

Now his tootsies are adorned in different colours
Those who know him will find this no shock
Because Jack is his friend
Who starts a new trend*
Each foot always has a quite different sock

*AnElephant is given many pairs of socks as a gift from his best friend.
Rather than show preference he always wears one of each.
The photograph shows that today on his hind legs he sports two American heroes, Elvis and Homer Simpson!
