The Little House that Walked

The Little House that Walked by Carolina Sartor

The Little House that Walked by Carolina Sartor

The little House is quite surprised
When a Spaceship lands nearby
Hey Spaceship what are you doing here?
She is quite thrilled by his reply

Hello nice to meet you little House
I am just passing through
I always stop to see the sights
And you what do you do?

I just stand about here feeling blue
The little House sadly says
I wish that I could fly like you
That would brighten up my days

So why don’t you just take a stroll?
The Spaceship asks the House
There’s a lovely field just over there
With goats horses and cows

But I’m a House she says to him
And houses cannot walk
I don’t see why not the Spaceship says
I am amazed that you can talk

So the little House just saunters off
And has a wander round the town
She has a different point of view
Now she no longer is house bound

Sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m not a house.

Yes, sometimes we put limits on our selves. The painting is beautiful!

  4. Loved the poem.

Indeed it is all about shifting away from our long held beliefs about ourselves. And as we do this, we stand to gain new perspectives.

The spaceship clearly was a mentor to the house….

    Pardon.

If a house seeking a different view walked over me, I would take a very dim view of it!

  9. Sounds like a little fable to tell us all to move out of the ruts we make for ourselves. 🙂

I think that AnElephant has done really well
With his talking ship and house.
So it is with pleasure that Alastair
Stands to face you and bows.
