AnElephantCant quite believe it
He just has another great day
This time you see him
In Kelvingrove Museum
And Park where he and Jack go to play

The museum is a Victorian marvel
Chock-a-block with amazing stuff
Antlers reaching so high
A Spitfire up in the sky
A Ceratosaur and a model woolly Mammoth

The hall houses a huge Lewis Pipe Organ
Which is being played while they have their lunch
This delightful recital
Ends with Jack’s forthrightful
Come on or we’ll miss a whole bunch

They always have time for the monkeys
And the giraffe with those legs quite absurd
They see art and sculpture
A big scary vulture
And the giant egg of the Elephant Bird

A Ceratosaur, a Dog made of Rubber Boots, A Giant Elk

They check out the birds and the insects
And the hive with real live working bees
Ecology lessons
Artefacts past and present
Jack absorbs all the info with ease

Then homewards along the banks of the river
AnElephant’s Alma Mater overlooks the sweet Kelvin
Some ducks and a swan
A Grey Heron in the pond
And of course ice cream to finish a day out in heaven

Sounds like a fun field trip! Glad they didn’t try to keep you – mistaking you as one of their elephant type models trying to escape the museum 😉

What an incredibly gorgeous building, much less the artifacts. This is a museum I would happily be lost in. It looks like spring is actually coming in over there. I’m glad this was a day that the two of you could fully enjoy both indoors and out! As always your words convey the fulsome experience and joy of spending the day with your favorite young man! 🙂 xx

AnElephant and Jack on another day out
Seems they had a great day of fun
    A museum is a place
To keep a smile on your face
And trip that you can never be glum.

Great photos my friend. Glad you explained what the Ceratosaur was 🙂 And that’s a gorgeous river
