Yacht to See This!

Belatedly Beautiful Spring Blossom

AnElephantCant wait longer for springtime
The weather in Scotland is still pretty bleak
So far this year
All the places near here
Have had about one day of sunshine each week

The trees at last have some blossom
This must be 6 or more weeks later than usual
AnElephant is cold
And feeling quite old
The need for sunshine is now getting crucial

This morning he walks by the river
He does not go very far though
He does have great thoughts
As he looks at the yachts
They remind him so much of Monte Carlo

The river is not quite a mill pond
Thankfully the wind is blowing up from the south
When it comes from the north
It still brings winter’s wrath
And leaves stalactites on the roof of his mouth

AnElephant does not like to be grumpy
Though he sometimes enjoys a good moan
When all’s said and done
He misses the sun
It won’t be too long before he is gone

He has really enjoyed his short stay here
He knows some locals who do not believe him
Because he likes to roam
Everywhere is his home
Even the much maligned Damperton-Sur-Leven
