AnElephantCant say he is happy
About Alastair’s depressing snapshot
He craves some sunshine
Six months would be fine
He must soon head for some place that’s hot

Some days are just so depressing.
Can hardly see a thing.
That must be Scotland down under all that thick cloud.
No wonder it is so green.
I can understand why it has all that stunning scenery, all those beautiful lochs.
And those great rivers, ideal for salmon fishing.
And I suppose all that mist makes the perfect environment for ghosts to walk in ancient castles.
But those clouds are still getting me down.
So dense, so heavy with rain.
Or it could even be snow.
In May.
You have to feel sorry for anything trying to live down there.
Just staring into a thick grey fog.
Waiting for the smallest chink.
But wait, is the wind starting to get stronger?
Is that a slender ray sliding through?
Back to work!
Now the photosynthesis can begin again.
After all, that is why I am here, to create and sustain life.
Excellent piece!

Yep. You gotta wonder if the sun ever gets bummed when it’s so hard to reach Scotland (also Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver). Very enjoyable.

AnElephant visited each of these cities earlier this year and the sun shone for him in each one!
But Scotland? Forget it!
Thank you for visiting and commenting, much appreciated.

Here it comes….there it goes.
The sun that it.
One day it just might decide to stay a little longer.

More than slightly jealous of my parents who seem to be permanently planning and going on holidays. We had three days of sunshine recently here in England, that’ll be it until next year I think.
