AnElephantCant hide his delight
Just recently he is not feeling too bright
Then he sees Al’s prompt
And suddenly is swamped
With ideas – he has just seen the light
The Lamppost
You were nervous that first night.
I really was!
Your friends seemed unconcerned, but you said something to the bartender, didn’t you?
Yes! I told her to remember your face, that if anything happened to me she was to tell the police!
Well it wasn’t even my idea. I just mentioned to your crazy friend that I was going that way.
That was when there had been all those murders. The Stabber, they called him. But it was easily the shortest way home for me. And you were so nice.
I guess I am just a nice guy.
We stopped under this very lamppost. And you kissed me for the first time!
Yes, that surprised me too.
You are funny! All those years ago. And there were never any more killings. Isn’t that strange? Do you think he died or went away?
Maybe he found what he was looking for.
Ohhh…I like how creepy this is. I little just got the chills. Very creative story here!

Clever, clever Elepant, I did a love story too…
But plain-jane, no twists – an inkling of humor,
And a nod to those who have served.
Cheers!

I wonder what she would think if she knew. Maybe she’s already guessed but doesn’t want to really admit it to herself!

Not sure if it happens in real life.
Maybe just in Once Upon a Timesville, or San Francisco?
