The bestestest thought that splashes through his head
Is to get out of his bunk
And into his trunks
And have a quick dip in the Med

The Water
He gazes dispassionately down at the water.
It churns violently, steam rising from its turbulent surface.
His companions show no sign of emotion, seemingly powerless to avoid the fate which awaits them.
To be boiled alive and eaten by these brutal creatures.
He sighs resignedly, thinking back to when they were one happy band, leaving their simple country home and travelling far away.
Back then they were oblivious to the dangers that lay ahead.
And they were together, always a tight-knit sextet, full of joy and laughter.
And now they will be a meal for the uncaring savages who rule this planet.
He sees the irony of the situation, but cannot quite raise a smile.
They are about to become breakfast.
For the giant chicken-like beasts of Poulet Centauri.
