AnElephantCant always be serious
He hasn’t bumped anyone off for a while
So perhaps he ought
To thicken the plot
And write doom and gloom instead of a smile
This is a weekly invitation to write a short piece of fiction (c. 150 words) based on a photo prompt (below) provided by Alastair.
Follow the link to see some great stories by some great writers.
But please read AnElephant’s short piece first.
You might just like it, you never know.

GHQ-RASM here, you received our message, GEN13-AEC1311?
Yep.
We are aware you are a state-of-art metamorbot.
Really?
We are Galactic HQ, Robots and Sentient Machines. We know everything.
Yeah, right.
We know you were created by Scottish inventor Dr Frank MacStone, who uses you to dupe the wealthy with your ability to morph into any artefact, real or imaginary, of any age, with absolute accuracy. And when he finds a new client you simply demorph and return to him.
Do you know where I am now?
Of course! You are currently the 2,000 year old depiction of the goddess Siggah, purchased 3 months ago by beautiful French actress Isabelle A, who paid 17 million credits for you. She takes you with her as she travels the world and worships you like a real goddess. And you are due to be recalled, em, yesterday!
Hmm, yes.
As the arbiters of all human/RASM conflicts we have been hired to find out why you are still there, with the lovely Madame A, instead of with Dr MacStone.
Well, duh!
Isabelle A…. evidemment, irresistible. Bien tournee ton histoire et amusante. Duh!

Very funny and I must add that the agent (idol) is very discerning in wisely deciding to stay (just in case anything else of interest gets uncovered)! 🙂 Don’t say it! 🙂
