Smiles Brighten AnElephants Life

AnElephantCant live without smiles
He doesn’t think that anyone should
They put a gleam in his eye

They epitomise everything good

Every smile makes somebody happy
It brightens each recipient’s day
It makes your feelings clear
Tells someone you care
And chases those dark clouds away

A smile is like strawberries in springtime

Like a pup’s wagging tail
Or a yacht’s flapping sail
A butterfly landing on that same flower again

There is nothing that gladdens the heart more
Than a child’s face when he gets his nose kissed
AnElephant is shy
But you know he’s the guy
With the smile lurking behind his proboscis

AnElephant is not sure about that
Some are inclined
To linger behind
Like the famous one of the Cheshire Cat

AnElephant has wandered far from his homeland
But there is one thing that always draws him back
It’s that one special smile
That makes his life worthwhile
And lights up the face of his beautiful Jack
