AnElephantCant usually distinguish
Between what is fact and what is fiction
To his expected surprise
He tells truthful lies
He is a straightforward but backward contradiction
He leads a stop start existence
Because he likes to just go with the flow
He watches stalactites climb
Time before time
And returns immediately after he knows he must go
He always watches television with his eyes closed
He listens with his toes in his ears
He delights in the sound
Of silence rising down
And can’t believe his eyes are seeing what he hears
He never reflects upon mirrors
He won’t answer the door if the bell chimes
There is no suggestion
He misunderstands the question
He is incapable of making bad rhymes
He only writes because he has trouble reading
He feels a chill when the sun is too hot
He finds it dark in daylight
He isn’t as bright as the night
But he remembers everything he ever forgot
He has vividly hued colour blindness
He turns green whenever he’s feeling blue
The only doubt
He is sure about
Is that every day he is still missing you
This is my favourite, ‘He isn’t as bright as the night..’ Interesting, refreshing read and an apt art work by Phil

There was a dumb man to shout hooray
And a blind one, to see fair play
An old dead donkey came galloping by,
Gave them all a kick in the eye
Kicked them over an inside wall
Into a dry ditch, which drowned them all.

One sunny day
In the middle of the night
Two dead men
Got up to fight
Back to back
They faced each other
Draw their swords
And shot each other
