St Tropez – a Fort, the Quayside, House of Butterflies

AnElephantCant always use public transport
He does not like to cause too much of a fuss
But now and again
He gets on a train
Or takes a wee trip down the coast on a bus

He feels it is time for another adventure
He likes to have at least one or two every day
Today his aim is
To go somewhere famous
So he makes the short trip to nearby St Tropez

The old town has a landmark clock tower
Gazing over the rooftops and the broad sparkling Gulf
There are sea walls and forts
To protect little boats
But the big modern yachts can take care of themselves

This is the home of a legendary actress
Better known in Europe than Marilyn Monroe
Even AnElephant can tell
She is French and tres belle
So he decides it’s a good time to visit Brigitte Bardot

He eats lunch in a cool sidewalk café
Enjoying the boules played in the shade of plane trees
Then down to the quayside
Which he loves to be beside
He is so happy with all the sights that he sees

The narrow back streets have boutiques of high fashion
Art galleries where the viewing is free
The French love their culture
So there is street art and culture
And AnElephant spends some quality time with the amazing BB
