AnElephantCant stop himself gloating
He is swimming in the Mediterranean today
The water is lovely
He is feeling quite bubbly
He is the only pachyderm in all of Medville Bay

But he does feel a wee tinge of sadness
The season is now almost over
Yesterday it rains
But he does not complain
It is already the second half of October

It is now over 4 months since he exits Scotland
It seems like a lifetime ago
The weather there is quite different
Just a tad more inclement
He hopes that they don’t yet have hail or snow

His summer here is wonderfully creative
He writes rhymes and poems with each thought that he thinks
And what is more he’s
Penning lots of short stories
His pencils and crayons are soon running out of ink

He has tranquillity and relaxation in his new life
He stops turning over old stones
He is much more inclined
To find peace of mind
And he enjoys sunshine to warm his old bones

There are some things he misses in his homeland
But next week he makes a flying visit back
He turns up the heating
Gets some dental treatment
And spends lots of time with his beautiful Jack
