Un Petit Bisou* From Me to You

Just a Kiss by Phil Burns

Just a Kiss by Phil Burns

AnElephantCant hide his embarrassment
He thinks he just had a very close squeak
To his great surprise
Two friendly French guys
Give him a smile and a hug and a kiss on each cheek

Now in Scotland this is considered altogether inappropriate
Chaps rarely shake hands sometimes clap the odd shoulder
That is the way of the clans
Whereas here in La Belle France
Les messieurs’ behaviour is quite considerably bolder

Please understand that your second favourite elephant
Is never averse to the idea of one or three kisses
But he is no fool
He sticks to his rule
He limits his affections to cute mesdemoiselles and sweet little misses

But this is one of the reasons that he loves to travel
Cultural differences hold immense fascination
In France and in Italy
With minimal irritability
He is treated with deep kindness and wonderful consideration

This is also true on his long journeys earlier this year
Spending time in Canada and the US of A
He blunders around blindly
And is treated so kindly
In Washington State Oregon BC and Californ-i-a

So he decides he must adapt to local customs
He loves this country there is no way to disguise it
So if someone wants an embrace
He has a smile on his face
AnElephant happily goes with the flow and enjoys it

* A little kiss, for any lady who wants to make AnElephant happy!
