AnElephantCant claim to be mentally mature yet
Although he’s kinda creaky and no longer a boy
But somewhere deep inside
He’s still a cheery wee child
Who loves nothing as much as his favourite toy
He has short fat fingers which lack any dexterity
And the prestidigitatory skills of a long extinct dodo
He can do not a thing
With anything on a string
It is a one-way only ticket when he plays with a yo-yo
AnElephant knows he’s not agile or lissome
He is not shaped like delightful Betty Boop
He chomps too many chips
He cannot swing his hips
So he is rubbish at birling or twirling a halo-shaped hula hoop
The most traditional of all nursery pastimes
Which AnElephant still remembers vividly of course
The so soothing rhythm
Sadly no longer for him
His mammoth buttocks don’t fit on even a Greek-sized rocking horse
For most boys fast cars hold great fascination
And they go faster if they have a stripe and they are red
The illusion of speed
Which all kiddies need
Now comes from the Lightning McQueen cover that he drapes so coolly over his double wide bed
He has a train set with stations and bridges
And a chute where he can pretend he is still bold
He doesn’t play with a doll
He prefers a bat and a ball
AnElephant has no immediate plans to ever grow old
So much fun to keep the child within us forever…
LOL on the last photo 🙂

AnElephantCant be serious
He’s not that mammothous
But he could rock a Trojan horse
With his funny discourse,
cracking up Greeks, of course
without much fuss
