the world was always dark
the sky was never blue
then suddenly the sun appeared
all because of you
my life was dull and dismal
quite grey no other hue
then suddenly the rain stopped
all because of you
nights seemed to last forever
sunny days were few
then winter turned to summer
all because of you
my life was bright and joyful
clouds parted light shone through
lines disappeared from my old face
all because of you
your eyes were my great treasure
your smile my favourite view
my heart at last found happiness
all because of you
but it didn’t last forever
you found somebody new
now I’m alone and broken hearted
all because of you

Lovely but sad poem. I was smiling all the way but the end brought tears.
