AnElephantCant say he watches much television
Though he thinks it broadcasts lots of great shows
But when he switches on
There are one or two genres
Which make even AnElephant turn up his cute curly nose
He cannot stand all this rubbishy reality
He has no inclination to see other folks’ sad existence
If they live next door
He can carefully ignore
In the hope that they keep a desirable distance
He is enthralled by the eccentric 1-hour detectives
Miami Vice and Columbo do not star your average cop
Monk is obsessive not rash
Magnum PI has a silly moustache
And Kojak loves ya baby and licks his lollipop
He has little time for what are optimistically called talent shows
Many performances can make a genial goldfish grumpily growl
Okay not all appal
But the worst thing of all
Is that for no discernible reason they all seem to feature the utterly charmless Simon Cowell
AnElephant fondly remembers the old US-based comedies
Though he does not see Taxi! in 200 years
MASH is a craze
Like Fonzie’s Happy Days
And he loves Sam, Norm and Cliffy in Cheers
Both readers have now spotted AnElephant’s fatal flaw here
These shows are older than the sacred Scrolls from the Dead Sea
Although he does love live rugby
Misses the hilarious Big Bang Theory
AnElephant has no aerial no reception and certainly no TV
anelephantcant 
AnElelephant should have a TV show.
That would be much better than numbty TV
tales waiting to be told aplenty
Some silly, some full of sorrow
But all with a big bang in the last frame.
Pass the popcorn please.

Haha, Simon Cowell, the very people judging Simon! I do remember Kojak with his lolly, watched him when I was a child. Brings back memories….. I hardly watch TV now as there is so much more to do in life than TV. The only 2 at the moment is Game of Thrones and The Mentalist. I do love those!… no more the rest is real life!
