AnElephantCant tell you what this is
He has not got the slightest of clues
He just bangs out a tale
At the pace of a snail
And hopes you don’t think it’s bad news
Once again it is Friday Fictioneer time.
When Rochelle invites us to create a story in 100 words.
And AnAdjectivelessElephant tries not to embarrass himself.
The idea is to write a very short story, circa 100 words, based on this picture prompt (below).
That’s it.
The Oddity
They really are not too bright, these human things.
They seem to lack intelligence, perception and sensitivity.
I mean, they don’t try to be hurtful, they are just clueless.
Now, please don’t laugh, but they actually believe that they are the most intelligent life form on this planet.
Man, they do not think too highly of the rest of nature’s creatures.
Most of them they either eat, wear or just wipe out.
No idea about balance.
I wouldn’t mind quite so much if it wasn’t for this idiotic old Scotsman.
He just keeps using me to sharpen his coloured pencils.
Very funny take.

This is another very fun take on the prompt. Caught ME off guard. Well done.

It’s sort of like Picasso, who paints women with their faces all over the canvas and you have written about a stick (or colored pencil sharpener) which is hilarious. Good job AnElephantCant.
Nan 🙂

Great interpretation of the picture; I really struggled. But this creature certainly isn’t the sharpest in the stationery cupboard.

Hahahahahaha! I’d hate to see what you use for a paper puncher.
Bravo, Elephant! They’ll be selling them here in America REAL soon.

Not to worry about your mistaken comment and the follow up! Would have been nice had you taken just an extra few minutes to actually leave a comment, however, I understand! with great affection, as I know this won’t see the light of day either, and much love. Me

AnElephantCant ever censor a comment from someone he loves dearly.
And, duly chastised, he will return to correct his omission!

Dear Elephant,
You’ve left me wondering what intelligent creature this might be that could be mistaken for a pencil sharpener. Well written.

Dear AEC,
One man’s clam eating a lollipop is another man’s pencil sharpener. They should have a personality test based on this photo. Well done.
Aloha,

There’s nothing like a Scotsman to keep another man keeping things sharp.
Hand me another colored pencil, Breandan, will ye.
