lips by phil burns

lips by phil burns

when you turned your face towards me
my soul began to shiver
I knew that when our lips first touched
my life would change forever

when your sweet breath entangled mine
like a song without a sound
a perfect harmony of love
my world stopped spinning round

when I looked into your dancing eyes
and saw the light that shone
I knew that I’d keep holding on
till hope’s last drop had gone

because I always understood
you were far too good for me
but I had to try to live the dream
praying for eternity

if I could go back to that night
just before our lips first met
and quickly walk away from you
I’d have nothing to regret

but then I’d lose those memories
that I can’t bear to forget
so I’ll hold on to the heartbreak
and the tears and that regret

  1. Dale says:

Oh Pink One… what is that Tennyson said? ” ‘Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. “

  2. emmylgant says:

    Celui ci me chavire.
Je le sens dans mon coeur et le crois tu? Dans mes mains!
    Je n’ai pas les mots.

Go on, say something, even if it's rude!
