calanques

Listen here:

cliffs
steep and rocky
enclose
a crescent of sand
kissed
by murmuring waters
of silvery
sun sparkled
sea
a cloudless
blue
Mediterranean sky
lazes
over the beach
hushed
by the sound
of constant surf
breaking waves
white flecked couriers
sand
swishing
pebbles
trickling
rocks
rumbling
and yet
cigales
on olive
and pine trees
still are heard
singing
their subtle song
while
beyond the reefs
mermaids frolic
