Click here to hear the poet read his words:
love and me
now as I watch you dancing
I think of what I see
one more sweet woman quite enchanted
by life and love and me
we met we laughed we fell in love
we spent such happy times
you created works of magic
and I wrote silly rhymes
you said my words inspired you
helped you see different views
for you I wrote my love songs
you were my heart my muse
and so I scarcely noticed
your first uncertain pause
I was still blind while you observed
my many faults and countless flaws
so then we slowly fell apart
my truths no more believed
you’d said I was your perfect man
but which of us truly deceived
now as I watch you walk away
I think of what I see
one more sweet woman disappointed
by life and love and me
dig the muse foto

Your words touch the heart. Why can’t we accept each other with our faults?

Sometimes it seems a step too far, dear lady, or perhaps we see our own flaws reflected in others.
