drops of paradise

drops of paradise by anelephantcant

Click here to hear the poet read his words:

drops of paradise

silver tipped
waves
caress rocks
tickle
then trickle down
sloping sand

slowly
sunlit
tide rises
surf splinters
over ragged edges

foam flakes
catch drops
of paradise
suspended
in Mediterranean sunshine

and then
giant breakers
erupt
over craggy islands
showering
watching eyes
in argent delight

and my soul
sighs
contentedly
