fragment of love

the geese by anelephantcant

Click here to hear the poet read his words:

fragment of love

I still recall the first night
in an airport long ago
you brushed my cheek
you promised that
I’d always have
a fragment of your love

the river rolls eternally
the geese still on the banks
you took my hand
and in your eyes
I saw shining
a fragment of your love

now years have passed
the times have flown
since last I held you safe
but still
you give me so much more than
a fragment of your love
