Click here to hear the poet read his words:
many sins
I hear the teardrops in your eyes
please don’t cry because I’m gone
I’m sure you’ll find another love
but for me you were the one
I recall again the fun we had
the laughing games we played
and though I left with scarce a word
I truly wish I could have stayed
your patient love always amazed me
as you forgave my many sins
but my heart quickly understood
this is how the end begins
for deeds fly by so quickly
but thoughts can linger long
an action lasts a heartbeat
unlike an aching Cohen song
I remember my last words to you
stay safe my love be well
but neither of us knew back then
I was tumbling straight to hell
I absolutely love this. Thank you. Sending you a great big hug

A heart wrenching and soul shaking goodbye to Pinky’s (the main voices) true love. Sad as your poems often are, but I think there’s always hope even for those lost in love. As long as you’re alive there’s hope. Take care my friend.
