About

An artist/writer/poet combination whose blogs reflect an approach to life that celebrates nature and takes a tongue-in-cheek view of most issues.
So you get rhymes and doodles, photographs and comment.
Irreverent and irrelevant.
Occasionally funny, sometimes serious, mostly pointless.

Hi Elephant, When I was blogging actively 5 years ago, your writing used to be full of fun. but, now I find all your poems and articles sad…Hope you are well. How is your grandson?

    • Hi Nightlake,
I am reasonably well, thank you, and still living happily in the south of France.
I think I just ran out of silly rhymes, and started to write some more serious poetry.
      I also write short fiction:
      https://ceayr.com/
And my grandson is still a shining beacon in my life.
Although I see him very seldom, he still brings great joy whenever I go back to Scotland.
Thank you for visiting, I am very happy to see you here again.

    • AnElephantCant thank you enough for this
But he really cannot accept any awards
      He may be somewhat absurd
      But your kindly words
Are for him a sufficiently heart-warming reward

He has just two things to say here
Congratulations on your success, sleepy kitty
      Can AnElephant ask
      Why you wear a mask
When you are obviously quite stunningly pretty?

Quite enough for his witty rhymes.

Thanks for submitting some of your wonderful poetry to The Paperbook Collective this year my friend. It has been a whirlwind adventure and I thank you for being a part of it!

    AnElephantCant go with sayings
For his twists aren’t just scenic,
    He incorporates the nouns
People like on their balloons and socks.

    AnElephantCant deny that writing stuff
Is not telling world a lie,
    Places, puns and crayons
    All make all believable.

Well, I haven’t written anything in ages and certainly, never poems in English.
I am happy to see you are still blogging, portraying witty attitude while jogging
But I’m afraid I may not have the time to read what I missed in months

The elephant is a graceful bird
That hops from bough to bough
It makes its nest in a rhubarb tree

    • AnElephantCant climb a rhubarb tree
That would surely be a mammoth mistake
      The sturdiest bough
May bear the weight of a cow
But under AnElephant’s bulk it might break

AnElephant is everlastingly grateful to a gracious lady who visits him with a sweet rhyme.
He sends hugs to her and thanks to her friend Anon (which seems to be quite a common name in poetic circles).
