AnElephantCant stay hidden for ever
Sometimes he has to break cover
He does not do things by half
So just for a laugh
He travels 500 miles to visit Alastair in Dover

Now Al is a popular blogger
He writes poetry and all sorts of stuff
A weekly Fictioneers story
And what is more he
Runs a Photo Fiction Challenge he must be out of puff

AnElephant gets the sleeper from Glasgow
And a coach from London to the coast
Al meets him there
So the quite hirsute pair
Have breakfast bacon and eggs with some toast

Alastair and AnElephant in disguise

Then they pop round to Al’s for a cuppa
It isn’t far so it is no hassle
From the back balcony
AnElephant can see
Wartime tunnels underneath Dover Castle

From the front they look over the harbour
The clouds are low the sea and sky grey
They chat for a while
A handshake a smile
AnElephant must be on his way

He makes one more visit in Englandshire
To dear friends who make his old heart dance
Guess how he must feel
About a weekend in Deal
With Leanne & co before crossing to France
