AnElephantCant claim to be wealthy
He lives a life of ascetic austerity
To explain his psychology
He applies modern technology
And preserves his pearls of wisdom for posterity
His rhymes are not produced without effort
They involve many years of research
Quite a surprise you may say
He churns one out every day
Without his laptop he is left in the lurch
On some occasions AnElephant feels inspiration
He expects to divulge something exciting
He makes copious notes
Full of ideas and great quotes
Then discovers he can’t read his own writing
AnElephantCant always be organised
He leads a life of enjoyable disorder
He can arrange lots of peanuts
But can’t manage his own thoughts
Maybe he needs to hire a shorthand court recorder
His scribbles look like hieroglyphics
His output resembles a plate of spaghetti
With olives adorning
So come the next morning
They sadly don’t prevent AnElephant forgetting
Now this rhyme is a result of such happening
You see AnElephant has not forgot
Do you hazard a guess
Is your answer yes
Or do you think he can’t read last night’s note?

Haha this is funny Elephant. I can imagine you trying to figure out what your notes say — phone or handwriting. But at the same time, I feel bad because you hurt your hand before and I know that it must be frustrating not to be able to handwrite as you once could. I’m glad you have your laptop, and you are not the only one who would be “iin a lurch” without their technology. Last nights note, well I’m told, “An Elephant Never Forgets,” so I think your memory will work 🙂 I like Alistair’s little poem as well lol.

This rhyme is written long before he has a non-functioning paw, he is just a wee bit – how to put it politely – random in his thoughts and deeds.
