AnElephantCant settle in Seattle
Though he does find himself in fine fettle
He has a wee wander
And then a wee ponder
Do they call it a kettle or perhaps a keattle
AnElephantCant control his behaviour
Can it be that he becomes even amazier
He strolls in the rain
Hoping to spot Niles Crane
Imagine his excitement if he stumbles upon Frasier
AnElephant is impressed now by Washington
The Pacific North West State not the one in DC
Named after the guy
Who can’t tell a lie
AnElephant knows that is not always easy
The clouds are low the rain is so heavy
So he decides not to ascend the Space Needle
He finds it quite risible
The city is invisible
The locals say that is normal indeedle
AnElephant finds one thing enthralling
He stares into the sky the whole night
He is not being cheeky
You know what he is seeking
He hopes to see a Seattellite
AnElephant runs low on finances
This does not infringe on his enjoyment
He now takes the chance
To earn a few cents
He finds himself part-time employment
hahahaha this is hilarious and brilliant

That he entertained Charon’s Cheatter

High upon AnElephantCant’s back
In a basket I swing and I sway
With a few frights I’m seeing the sights
And never is there a delay
What is best (don’t tell all the rest)
AnElephantCant is paying the way

AnElephantCant remember inviting Meme
To clamber up into his howdah
One more thing to say
If he has to pay
It is more likely that he’ll take a powder

Emmy wants to know
Can AnElephant skeedaddle
In Seattle
Or just dawdle and doodle?
LikeLike
AnElephantCant doodle for toffee
He has explained this so often before
A few words he scribbles
Some peanuts he nibbles
But he’s not useful for very much more

No worries, Emmy will take the scribbles,
And seen from this angle,
The dazzles, the dribbles,
even the drivel,
but she loves the chuckle.

AnElephantCant work in a car wash
This may come as quite a surprise
He may look quite tough
But it is all a bluff
He always cries when he gets soap in his eyes

No soap then, I’ll come anyway! 🙂 Love you elephant!

AnElephantCant keep this a secret
His message is quite incontrovertible
He hopes you come by
But if you want to stay dry
Make sure you don’t drive a convertible

AnElephant could always fill his purse
By entertaining clubs with his verse
Along with the money
He may find a honey
Only the uneducated are the ones who would be terse

If he were less shady
He might find a lady
But he really is not a romancer

Can’t decide which I like more, re: the written word! It’s a toss up between “Indeedle” and “Seattelite”. Great fun! Love the shots of the space needle and your car wash too. Just too cool! 🙂

AnElephantCant deny he does cheat here
He makes up new words all the time
Not really creative
He is more alter-native
But he has to find some way to end in a rhyme

Very nice poem, I enjoyed it a great deal.
